Historic Wooling Hill - established in the 1840's
The name 'Wooling' comes originally from the Aboriginal word 'woolong' meaning "much water coming together". This is now reflected by the lakes and water features which appear across our country estate.

Antique wedding dresses - 1840's
Jack Power & Maggie Robertson (granddaughter of William - Wedding circa 1900

Maggie looked very attractive in white Swiss embroidered muslin over glace silk, inlet with Maltese lace, embroidered Brussels
net veil and carried a white shower bouquet with streamers, and wore gold, pearl and tourmaline spray brooches, both gifts of the bridegroom.
Robinson Wooling Hill

William Roberston 1795 - 1891
The Robertson family established the estate in 1840.
It was one of the earliest settlements in the district and as the Robertson children had families of their own, Wooling Hill came to resemble a small village.
The nine-acre orchard and four-acre kitchen garden fed the large family well. Read more of the history of Wooling Hill - click here.

Wooling Hill

Wooling Hill Estate has expanded added a vineyard, a large lake area, with substantial garden areas complete with several beautiful water features and rock formations that look out over the foothills towards Mt Macedon and the ranges.
